Hello everybody!!!!! For those who have been following me throughout my invisalign journey from the start until now, I'm very pleased to announce to you all that....... I have actually completed wearing ALL 21 sets of my invisalign aligners already!!!!! Yayyyyy!!!! :D :D :D :D

Thank you thank you!!! I'm super touched now lololol!! And as you can see that, I took really fast to complete the whole treatment it and that's the "power" of invisalign! I'll show you my current teeth later!!!

And for invisalign right, after when it's done, your orthodontist and yourself will review it and if there is a need for refinement (to make you teeth look even better) we can actually request for it and have it done! Which me and my orthodontist, Dr Loh decided to do so after reviewing! Cause there's actually still a small gap in between my both front teeth and by doing the refinement will close it and also can do minor refinement to all the other teeth as well! So when it's completed it will be prefect!





Over at Omni Dental Centre the other day to have my refinement mould done!

Doing refinement is actually basically like "starting all over again", where we have to do our teeth mould (like how we first started to do invisalign) and having it send over to get our invisalign aligners done!





While waiting for the mould to set and harden!




Yay all my moulds are done! Top, bottom and the bite of my teeth!


To be honest, I'm really really happy to be able to do invisalign with Omni Dental Centre cause throughout the whole treatment process, they have been so professional, friendly and caring! And since I've completed the whole 21 sets of invisalign aligners already, it's time to show you guys the current state of my teeth!!!

But before that, let me show you the mould model of my teeth before I started wearing invisalign.....

A mini tour around Omni Dental Centre!

You know while I was showering today, and when I looked into the mirror and saw the current state of my teeth right..... I feel really glad, happy, thankful and touched (lol really filled with all these emotions) that I actually did invisalign treatment with Omni Dental Centre! (read all the entries of my invisalign journey here)

And it's not just today that I actually felt this way, but very often for every other day when I see my teeth in the mirror and how it had slowly change to become straighter over the days! :')




Well, I'm always happy to hear you people telling me about the great experience (no matter past or present) that you guys had over at Omni Dental Centre cause it makes me feel like..... "yes we made the right choice!" lololol! Thanks to the experienced team of specialists all under one roof!

Alright, as what the title says... this entry I shall take you on a mini tour around Omni Dental Centre! I always wanted to show you guys how is it like inside, so yeah~ Here we goooooooooo!




The reception area, where I'm always greeted by the friendly staff once I step in!




This is the lounge waiting area! Oh yes, and that's my bag there hahaha!




Over at the lounge area there's tv to watch, magazines or newspaper to read while waiting!




And we can also grab a packet of fruit juice (without sugar) if we like!




And we can even make gourmet coffee or tea if we didn't want fruit juice!




And here's the iMac which is saturated behind for all the patients to use!
Also they have free wifi connection around the dental centre too!!! Ahhhh and that's the reason why I always see people using their laptop to do their work while patiently waiting for their turn!

Invisalign really move my teeth!!!!

AND IT REALLY DOES!!!!!!!!!!! :D

As you all know, I'm already halfway through my invisalign treatment with Omni Dentre Centre and today I'm gonna show you guys the improvement of my teeth since the very start and now, the current state of it! Though it's still not done yet, but I'm sure you guys can see the difference one!

Okay, so this is the picture of my teeth when I first started to wear the invisalign....




When I'm on the 1st set of my invisalign.
In any case for those who are wondering, the little white bumps on some of my teeth are called the attachments, which will help to hold on to the aligners when I put it on.



And and and, here we have........


The current state of my teeth, on the 15th set of invisalign.
You all can see the difference right!!!! Especially my front tooth, it's not that crooked and protruding anymore! And also my bottom row of teeth are slowly moving in to the position too!!! Super happy!!!!!!

And the reason why I love invisalign, cause it's so comfortable! There's no wires or metal brackets involves unlike traditional braces! Where sometimes traditional braces will cause ulcers or you can't really eat food that is too hard, as there might be a risk that the brackets will break....
With invisalign right, we can eat basically anything! Plus can brush and floss easily as well!

It's slowly moving into position and I super can't wait for it to complete!

And soon enough, really soon enough...... I'll have straight beautiful teeth!!!! YAY!!!! *excited*

Anyway, I just went for my regular visit few days back and I always feel very happy whenever I visit them cause their staff, especially the nurses there, are so friendly and nice!! I really like them you know, they always put a smile on their face and I always make small talks with them cause they're so friendly!

Hahaha! Not only that, I now then realise they have a iMac for all the patients to use!!



I went to took a picture of it cause I wanna show you guys! Hahaha!
I haven't really get to use before though cause I didn't know it existed -_-, maybe I should go use it on the next visit! And I was also told that they have free wifi connection around the dental centre too!
Other than that, they also have gourmet coffee, fruit juices (without sugar), magazines and a tv there as well! So you won't feel bored while waiting for your turn! I'll take pictures next time!

Regular visit to Omni Dental Centre

So the other day I went for my regular visit to Omni Dental Centre to get my invisalign aligners! :D

Not sure whether did I mention it before, but it's like they will give you 3 sets of invisalign aligners at a time, and after 6 weeks (change to a new set every 2 weeks) you have to go back to the clinic and let your orthodontist to check the progress and then they will then give you another 3 sets! So yeah!

Was preparing for exams the other time, and I bought my law book along lol!



I'm the the 14th set now!
And my super loving and friendly orthodontist, Dr Loh told me that my progress is really well and that I still got afew more sets to go only! I think still got around 6-8 more sets? 
Okay, I couldn't remember how many sets that I need to wear before it completes already lol! (>_<)
Oh! Plus I love how Omni Dentre Centre is so conveniently located at town, at Heeren office building only! With or without invisalign?

Hello peopleeeee! Just came back from Omni Dental Centre today and
I'm here again to continue sharing my invisalign journey with y'all!

And I think the picture above will be the only picture in this entry that doesn't show my teeth at all hahaha! Yea, cause today I wanna show you guys the how 'invisible' can invisalign be!

Oh anyway, as you're reading this..... I'm already on the 10th set of invisalign aligner!! :D

Which means I'm kinda halfway there to complete the treatment! So excited and I'll show you guys on the next post how much has my teeth moved so far okay? Personally, it obviously can become straighter and even my friends can see the difference lor! Well, I'll leave it to the next entry k! For now....

As you can see above, how invisalign treatment is so 'invisible' which makes it tough for people to even notice that you're wearing them! And I think I never really post up pictures which specifically say that I'm with invisalign on (which now I just did), so as to show to you guys the difference when I'm with it and without! Which obviously in this case, there isn't much difference at all! You can barely notice it!

And all my pictures recently (after I did this treatment) about 98% are all with the invisalign aligners on, and there isn't any difference and nobody even notice it or something!

So that's the difference between invisalign and the traditional braces! #justsaying


But of course if you take a closer look, you will know I'm wearing it.....

My invisalign journey (Part 2)

Hello peopleeeee!
As I'm blogging this now I'm already on my 3rd set of aligners, going to the 4th already! How fast time flies right! And yes, the picture above is me holding on to my first set of aligners! I'm so superbly happy so I need to take picture with it and show it to you guys! :D

Anyway, at the later part of the entry, there will be FAQ section, answering all the questions that you might have or wanna know about invisalign treatment! But for now, let me continue from where I've left you guys from my previous entry on 'My invisalign journey (Part 1)'.


So after Omni Dental Centre had done with my dental impression, 2 weeks later, I'm asked to head down to see the ClinCheck® which shows how the aligners will move my teeth to the final position!

Then after that, you will have to accept it or if not, discuss any concern that you might have so they can do changes before they do out the invisalign aligners! Usually there won't be any problems one lah, so I accepted it and waited for another few weeks for the invislign aligners to come!


And when it came (apart from being really excited).....




Dr Loh is helping me to put on the attachments on some of my teeth (in order to hold onto the aligners) which isn't really obvious and also helping me to put it on for the first time!

He's just like a sweet daddy! Totally got the fatherly feel! Hahahahahaha!!

And he makes me feel safe in his hands lor! Which is so important! Plus, I feel even extra safe since Dr Loh has 22 years of experience in Dentistry and further more, he is a Specialist Orthodontist!

Which basically means he is specially trained in this area and knows how to deal with complications! Someone once asks me before whether if GP dentists can treat Invisalign cases as well? Sure they can, if they're Invisalign certified! But if there are any complications and they cannot manage, the patient will still need to be referred to an orthodontist for treatment and then need to pay the orthodontist again which can be a big hassle and waste of time and money!


So I thought it's really nice and safe to know that at Omni Dental Centre, all of them are Specialists and I can have a peace of mind doing the treatment knowing that even if I happened to come across any problems or situation, they can handle them by themselves!

Frequently Asked Questions:

- How much does the invisalign treatment cost?

Basically invisalign treatment starts from 6k! And it varies depending on the complexity of the case! So you can actually go for a consultation with the orthodontist and he would advise you on that base on your case.



- I'm still a student, can the treatment be paid by installments?

Yes, they have interest free instalment plans to cater for individual needs! They make it a point where fees will never be a barrier to seeking a perfect smile with them!



- Are we able to do invislign for only the upper teeth or lower teeth?

Yes, you're able to! But it will be more worth it to do both the upper and lower.



- How long does the whole treatment take?

Depends on complexity of the case, it varies from 6 months to 3 years. For mine, cause I've got like 20-21 aligners, so it only takes about 10.5 months! Fast right?!



- Is it painful?

Not at all to me, as I only can feel the pressure! As there's no wires involved, so you don't need to be worried about ulcers which can be super painful and annoying! Also, brushing and floss can be easily since the aligners can be taken out! Can eat anything you like also! Heheheh!



- How do I know whether to choose braces or invisalign?

Depending on what you're looking for, for me I chose invisalign cause I'm vain (don't judge hor! heheh!) and I'm worried braces will look bad on me! But if you're not sure, you can go for a consultation with Dr Loh (my orthodontist) and he would advise you from there, since they provide both the treatment! Consultation fees is at $80 though, but if you decide to take up the treatment, the $80 will be waived!



- Do we need to extract teeth for invisalign treatment?

Depends! But it's pretty rare though, only for some cases only! For mine, I don't have to! And this will all be discussed at the consultation stage in detailed with the orthodontist!



- I still have some other questions, can I ask you?

My invisalign journey

Something that is life changing moment (to me) is going to happen soon! *ques dramatic music*



As you all know that recently, I did somehow complain about how annoying my front teeth is, cause one of it is actually alittle crooked! And it's affecting me pretty much because sometimes it's kinda obvious on pictures or even videos that in some angle, my teeth is crooked! Booooo!



Which then, I'm more conscious about it and slowly feel that my smile isn't that awesome anymore!











Although I didn't really have a problem with how my teeth look since young cause it was quite alright, cause my top row used to be really fine! I don't know whether is it because I played the saxophone, which causes one of my front tooth to turn crooked or what, but it wasn't that bad when I was younger!



But my bottom row of teeth is pretty crooked (I don't think anyone of you have seen it before yet right?) which is still, kinda okay to me cause I don't usually show them what!



And I know after saying this, some of you people will sure say that my teeth looks okay and it looks fine!





So here I have a picture of crooked front teeth for you guys to see how bad it actually is:









Yes, it's actually that bad!

And this annoying one crooked front teeth will always reflect light, and will be very 'pop out' when I take pictures from certain angle (left side of my face)! So it's really getting on my nerves and I thought I really should do something about it! Not forgetting I have pretty crooked bottom row of teeth as well!



Which one of the fact about having crooked/crowded teeths is that, it's very hard to brush or even floss (I've experienced it for my bottom row of teeth so I know)! And prolong of it will lead to tooth decay or other dental problems! Which obviously is not what I wanted lah! So yes, I must do something!



BUT.





I don't really want to do braces because I am..... vain! HAHAHAHAHA!



Okay, that's pretty much of the reason, cause I'm scared I'll look bad and I also don't think my teeth are that serious to do braces leh! So luckily, there's another treatment which is call the invisalign!

The aligners are completely transparent which makes it hard to even let people notice that you're wearing them! Which is really a good thing for those who wanted to straighten their teeth and yet don't want to wear traditional braces due to all sorts of reasons, be it work or just purely, vain like me! Hahaha!



And I'm so happy that I'm doing this invisalign treatment with Omni Dental Centre!

Love it that they have a lounge area too!

So as I said it's my second visit cause the first time I went, they already did x-ray and dental impression of my teeth (something like a mould lah)! So this time round, I'm going to see my orthodontics, Dr Loh as he will explain to me clearly in detail about the treatment and to do another dental impression!











Super cute! They played Alvin and the Chipmunks for me to watch while I wait for Dr Loh!

Which it will still be played throughout the whole dental session for you to watch! Awesome for people who feels bored or needs something to distract them if they're scared! Hahahaha!

Got bored while waiting for the mould to set, so I randomly snap around!

And I must say that Dr Loh and his team are really nice and with loads of patience!



The nurses there are super caring and friendly which makes you feel so comfortable and happy even when I've to stretched my mouth big to do the mould! Hahaha! And Dr Loh took time to explain to me in detail of the treatment and keep stopping once in awhile to check if I've any questions that I'm in doubt with!



That's something I'm looking for and what we all need to look for when wanting to do dental treatment!





To sidetrack abit....



Cause I actually had a bad experience with other clinic before, where the doctor rush into things and want me to decide on the treatment that I want immediately which is ridiculous cause he didn't even give me time to think and not to say, explain it in detail to me at all! Siao one lor!



Imagine you're gonna pay so much for it and you obviously expect a great service and need to feel comfortable with your orthodontics as well right?! Glad I'm with Omni Dental now!

Where they will then come back in about 2 weeks time, with 3D models of my teeth on the computer, on how the aligners will move my teeth to the final position! I can't wait! *excited*
